Applicants must have previously completed Level 2 Child Protection Awareness Raising and Response training (previously named Level 1) either through eLearning, virtual, or face-to-face training.
In advance of attending the training, you should ensure you are familiar with The Inter-agency Child Protection Procedures for Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Participants will be able to:
Describe the specific vulnerabilities of disabled children
Be aware of the skills needed to communicate and engage with disabled children and young people
Discuss the evidence from research
Identify barriers to disclosure and detection, and
