VCEL recently brought together third sector organisations and community representatives to support the Integrated Impact Assessment for East Lothian’s Participation and Engagement Strategy.
The discussion generated valuable feedback, but we recognise that not all communities and organisations were able to take part. We’re therefore opening a short follow-up survey to gather wider perspectives from across East Lothian.
We Particularly Want to Hear From Organisations Supporting:
People experiencing poverty Disabled people Unpaid carers People living in rural communities Individuals affected by digital exclusion People facing language or communication barriers People affected by trauma People with low literacy levels People who may have low trust in formal services and systems
The Survey Asks:
- Who is least likely to have their voice heard?
- What barriers prevent people and organisations from participating?
- What support would make engagement more meaningful?
- What role should VCEL and the third sector play?
- How should feedback be shared after people contribute their views?
